Where the ingredients come from
Natural botanical ingredients — the ones we use in their original form — come from verified suppliers across India and internationally. Our Kashmiri rose absolute is sourced from a small cooperative in the Kashmir valley. Our sandalwood is plantation-grown in Karnataka. We visit suppliers before we work with them.
Bio-synthetic compounds are created in our Surat laboratory. This is not a compromise. For ingredients like saffron, where natural supply is environmentally fraught and chemically inconsistent, bio-synthesis produces a more precise, more stable result. We are transparent about which is which in every formula.

How it's made
Our molecular extraction process uses 60% less water than conventional perfume production. We use cold-press where possible, to preserve the integrity of heat-sensitive compounds without artificial shortcuts.
The lab runs on solar power. Production waste is composted or recycled. There is no minimum order pressure on us — we are not a factory. We make each batch when it's ready.
The bottle
100% recycled glass. Minimal outer packaging, FSC-certified paper, plant-based inks. We've made the box as small as it can be while still protecting the bottle.
Return an empty bottle to us and we'll sterilise and reuse it. Write 'return' on your next order. We'll take ₹500 off.
Carbon
We measure our full carbon footprint annually and offset 100% of it through verified Indian reforestation projects. Three trees planted per bottle sold. We'll publish the annual report here when it's ready.
Our people
Everyone at AURĒ is paid above industry standard, with health coverage and paid leave. We are a small team and we intend to keep it that way. We don't outsource formulation. We don't outsource quality control.
We work with local Surat artisans for packaging and logistics. This is not a PR decision. It is, in our view, simply correct.
